The Braintrend is a versatile 2-channel aEEG monitor for use in neonatology and paediatric intensive care. The amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG) presents a time-compressed continuous recording of the electroencephalogram.
Areas of application are, e. g., monitoring of preterm infants and of newborns after asphyxia(*). Other possible indications are metabolic diseases, traumata, and seizures. Preparing, performing, and interpreting the recordings is easy and therefore convenient for nurses and doctors.
